General Description |
A joint research project to examine Fayetteville Shale outcrops along the Ozark Uplift of Arkansas was conducted by Chesapeake Energy, EOG Resources, The Arkansas Geological Survey and Weatherford Laboratories. This research project was initiated to help facilitate an understanding of reservoir characteristics and depositional environments of the Fayetteville Shale gas producing region located in the Arkoma basin, south of the study area. Eight outcrop locations were studied for their sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy, gamma-ray log character, petrography and geochemistry attributes. The technical data and interpretations from this project are compiled on this two (2) poster set along with a reproduction of the abstract that was published at the American Association of Petroleum Geologists' Eastern Section Meeting, Kalamazoo, Michigan on September 25-29, 2010. |
